Being a venture capitalist firm, most of their data involved pivotal details about future start-ups, its ecosystem, and funding finances. Given the critical nature of data in the industry they operate, its security was the key priority. They were followed by their need to have a better technology solution that drives efficiency. After hours of discussions and full considerations, we drilled down their requirements to enable cloud sharing coupled with equipping their team with the right tools to carry out operations that matter while driving efficiency.
Creating a Difference in Deliverable
Implementing Teamwork in an organization that blends on Cloud means integrating tools with custom configuration to enable users to leverage pathbreaking Microsoft functionalities. Our team took up this project intending to surge the overall project efficiency and putting forward our award-winning design capabilities. And for this, we first begin with the Spark Workspace that serves as a Rightpoint accelerator enabled by SharePoint Modern framework and Microsoft Office 365.
Security and Implementation
We begin the cloud migration process by prioritizing Exchange migration and putting email at first and then the files.
Our team went ahead with the SharePoint custom configuration along with OneDrive and Exchange. Considering the nature of their business, we decided to implement the Advanced Threat Protection and Multi-Factor Authentication offering extra protection to their office 365 accounts across 50+ users.
Enabling teamwork security is one thing, and ensuring seamless implementation is another thing. For the latter, the implementation lifecycle also involves full-fledged training that demonstrates all the users can use the Teamwork tools correctly. For the training part, we send out a checklist on a how-to guide that has the troubleshooting documentation along with the quick-help videos. Our training experts break knowledge silos to empower the client team with the right set of training tools and resources that help them to leverage the power of Microsoft 365.
Our MSP offerings enable them to tap them the security required for their venture capital business that helps them deal with finances securely. While moving all the files from their on-premise to SharePoint, we enabled setting up correct permission corresponding to their on-premise folders as our team ensured mitigating those issues.
Faster Turnaround during a Security Snag
During the process, when we were moving their services to Cloud, the client servers experienced the ransomware attacks. Fortunately, we covered the ground beforehand, having migrated the servers to Azure, and this helped us fetch the best backup from the previous date. From that standpoint, we helped to prevent complete data loss. The ransomware left a few users exposed, leading to account breach and therefore applied azure conditional access to enhance the security. We configured it by moving their virtual machines the over to Azure smoothly without any bottlenecks. Since the client was using an out of date security firewall on-premise, we had to come with a solution like Meraki to establish a connection from their on-premise offices to Cloud.
Tapping in the Possibilities
We wanted to let the client experience their true potential by leveraging latent, untapped resources. For this, our sales team ensured getting approvals from their essential team resources, and this made us offer them with the OneDrive on their system. Most of their high-level data that needs mobility are shared over OneDrive, helping key personnel to make decisions faster and stay agile. This recent change has their team run systems more effectively with the OneDrive benefits leveraged. Since we moved them entirely to Cloud, their file servers and exchange started to run error-free and faster and therefore enabling collaboration quickly while saving physical office space with on-premise devices being disposed of.
